FIND ME AN OPAL

Queensland hides wonderful opals-all different and all stunning
I have always been fascinated by the flashes of beautiful colours in these stones. Also Opals are my birthstone so I relate to them on a deep level which is why they are ringed in gold.
I can’t really do justice to their beauty on a painting but I have tried to capture the feeling. The lines indicate a treck in the outback heat searching for the stones.

I use quality paints, a good strong canvas and the work is twice glossed for protection.
